Okay, "about us" pages are usually about as thrilling as a Monday morning staff meeting without coffee or donuts.
About Us
We’ll try to infuse a little excitement into this page as we introduce you to Heather Rodgers,
the founder of Rodgers Creative Group.
Welcome to Rodgers Creative Group!
Hello, I’m Heather. I’d much rather talk about you and your mission. In fact, that’s kind of what we do best—make you memorable in the marketplace. But since you clicked here, I’ll give you the quick version:
We Serve You
Rodgers Creative Group provides marketing and development services to individuals, nonprofits, and businesses who are passionate about their mission and have a desire to grow God’s kingdom. We help your brand shine in a very saturated market so you can bring the help and hope of Jesus to a world desperately in need of His gift of salvation.
We will: dream big with you and build a practical plan that helps your mission grow and reach the people who need it.
We won’t: let projects linger for months without progress. We believe in clear timelines—and delivering on them.
We don’t: create marketing that looks pretty but says nothing. Every piece we produce has a purpose.
With over 25 years of nonprofit experience, Heather is passionate about driving the stabilization and growth of NPOs, churches, and businesses. Her work experience is rooted with renowned organizations like the Grand Rapids Symphony, Grand Rapids Ballet Company, and Calvin University. Most recently, she served as the Executive Director of My House Ministry in Holland, MI.
Your product or service transforms lives, solves problems,
and helps people.
Don’t let an unclear message halt the growth of your organization.
Nonprofits & Ministries
Nonprofits face distinct challenges that can limit their impact. Unlike your corporate counterpart, you’ve rarely been fully staffed, fundraising is a constant challenge, and every team member has to be a jack-of-all trades leading to exhaustion and employee turnover. Strategic initiatives are well intended but serves as a bandaid since the root issues are never truly addressed. You are passionate about your cause but in order to stop the insanity, something has to change.
Churches
Many churches struggle with marketing due to limited resources, unclear messaging, and the challenge of balancing modern and traditional approaches. Tight budgets and volunteer-driven efforts can make it overwhelming to engage diverse audiences. Without a clear strategy, churches may miss the chance to connect with members and newcomers. By developing a simple, focused strategy, your church can stand out, grow, and build the Kingdom.
Businesses
Just a little bit of bad news - you’re selling your product in a highly saturated market. The days of throwing up a poster or a billboard and watching sales roll in are long gone. Today, consumers need to see or hear about your product at least eight times before they even realize it exists or that it solves their pain point. That’s why creating a clear, concise, and compelling customer journey is essential. You know how amazing your product is—now let's make sure the right audiences hear about it.
Your community is desperate for the hope and help you provide.
Don’t let unclear messaging, inconsistent marketing, and disorganized fundraising confuse your audience away from your organization.
Your Strategic Advisor
With more than 25 years of experience, I’ve seen how websites, design, and social media shape the way organizations communicate and connect with the world. In a culture filled with noise, people are longing for clarity. If we’re serious about advancing the Gospel and meaningful missions, our message must be clear and our communication channels strong.
As a strategic advisor, I help organizations step back, see the bigger picture and move forward with confidence. Together we clarify the message, identify the real challenges, and build practical plans that move from big vision to detailed action.
I bring a combination of grit and grace to every partnership—the grit to solve difficult problems and push through challenges, and the grace to collaborate thoughtfully and steward each project with care. The result is clarity, momentum, and stronger organizations positioned to grow their impact.
Rodgers Creative Group, based in Holland, MI, empowers Kingdom builders across the United States and world. Heather is married to Benjamin Rodgers, Music & Choir Director at Calvary Schools of Holland and the Director of the Evergreen Chorale. The couple have one son, Elijah, and a very fluffy golden doodle named Ginger Rodgers.
The StoryBrand Advantage
Strategy Before Marketing. Clarity Before Growth.
Most organizations don't have a marketing problem—they have a clarity problem.
A new website, more social media, or a bigger advertising budget won't fix a message that isn't clear. That's why we begin with strategy.
At Rodgers Creative Group, we serve as strategic advisors first, helping organizations clarify who they are, who they serve, and why their work matters. Once that foundation is in place, marketing becomes more effective, more consistent, and easier to execute.
As a Certified StoryBrand Guide, Heather Rodgers uses Donald Miller's proven StoryBrand Framework as part of a larger strategic process to simplify your message, position your customer as the hero, and create a clear path to growth.
Because when your strategy is clear, your marketing works—and your organization is positioned to become a brand people know, trust, and choose.
Let's build a strategy that moves your organization forward.
